St. Barbara
Women's Group
Empoderar a las mujeres de fe
Our women's ministry at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church aims to cultivate a loving community where women can grow spiritually, build meaningful relationships, and invite others. Grounded in Catholic teachings, we inspire women to live out their vocation with humility and grace, and be a beacon of Christ's love in the world.
"Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7

Well-Read Mom (WRM) accompanies all women in the reading of great books and spiritual classics to encourage personal growth, friendship, and meaningful conversations in order to explore the human condition and reorient ourselves to what is good, beautiful, and true.
WRM groups read one book per month and meet to discuss once a month. Book selections for each year correspond to the themes of a woman's life. This year we are excited to dive into the theme of "father" with the help of some excellent authors such as Vergil, Elizabeth Gaskell, and Carlo Collodi, among others.
